They have become a legendary force on the festival circuit headlining Reading & Leeds, T in the Park and Glastonbury over the years, pulling a gigantic crowd to their pyramid stage set at the latter in 2010. Famed for their tours, the band have won two Brit Awards for Best Live Act and sell out arenas and stadiums around the globe with ease. Their live show has also followed the same ambitious, gargantuan elevation of their music. The album acted as a catalyst which saw Muse continue to have commercial and critical success for years to come, the following four albums all topped the UK album charts and they have sold over 15 million albums worldwide. 'Origin Of Symmetry' saw the band move into the progressive rock territory, creating momentous singles in the shape of 'New Born' & 'Bliss'. Their second album saw a development in sound and an ambition that is still evident in their records today. This gained the band crucial backing from the likes of Steve Lamacq and NME, their debut LP 'Showbiz' was released in 1999 and scored relative chart success, but it has now gone on to be certified platinum in the UK to date. Forming in the early 90's under the original name Gothic Plague, the band toured relentlessly with bands such as Skunk Anansie, they released their first EPs to a loyal fan base and they were met with relative successes in the UK indie charts.
